Water Incorporated started
its communications with the Authorities by asking the Victorian Society for a
directory of architects specialising in historic buildings. From
this list we selected several firms and invited them to submit proposals
for Clerkenwell Fire Station .
We stipulated that their
plans must fully embrace all the requirements of:
1) The London Borough
of Islington Planning Brief of November 2014
2) The Joint Guidance
for London's Historic Fire Stations published by English Heritage (now Historic
England) and the London Fire Brigade (now part of LFEPA) in March 2010
3) The requirements
for Grade II listed buildings

completed sets of plans available from highly reputable firms, which you can
